All processes at Univeg Deutschland are certified

The same applies to our production partners

Following successful certification of the Univeg Deutschland trade and service centres in accordance with the IFS (International Food Standard) and additional QS certification, we can now boast a truly comprehensive quality assurance system. By complying with the requirements laid down by these standards, the Univeg Deutschland Group is able to offer its customers and suppliers absolute transparency.

The Univeg Deutschland Group introduced the underlying system for food safety, ISO 9001, back in 1996. ISO 9001 acts as a management system for the structuring and monitoring of all the processes in the company’s organisation. IFS and QS are standards which, by means of inspections, controls and audits, allow the company to ensure that the requirements of the quality management system are satisfied.

The IFS is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative and is regarded as a de facto standard in Germany today. All the wholesale establishments in the Univeg Deutschland Group are IFS certified.

The QS System stands for comprehensive quality assurance. The QS quality mark may only be used if all the products pass through the entire QS chain – from production via the fruit trade to the food retailer.
Participation in this system is subject to clearly defined and strictly controlled regulations. An establishment may only participate after the internal control system and the documentation on the company processes have been inspected by an independent certification body and a system contract has been signed.

Adherence to the QS criteria is monitored in regular audits performed by independent certification bodies. This makes the QS inspection system a truly reliable model. For consumers, the QS quality mark is becoming an increasingly important factor when deciding which products to buy.
