Exotic fruits – a growing market

We all associate exotic fruits with foreign countries and cultures. The vast array of exotic fruit and vegetables with their different shapes and flavours never fails to surprise. Whether for breakfast, as a starter, in salads, for dessert or as a snack, the possible uses are endless.

What’s more, these fruits are an important source of vitamins and minerals. The majority of exotic fruits contain refreshing fruit acids, energising fruit sugar and very few calories. It is this combination which makes them so important in terms of nutritional physiology. As a rule, exotic fruits contain very low levels of protein and fat and, as such, are ideal when dieting or detoxing.
